1/43 scale model based on Corgi diecast.
Traffic enforcement and crash investigation in the early days of New Zealand's transport history was the responsibility of a number of enforcement agencies and from 1906 in the nation's capital, it was the responsibility of Wellington City Council's Traffic Department. The MkII Zephyr was one of the cars that the WCC Traffic Dept used during the 1960s and was fitted with a rotating roof beacon, illuminated "TRAFFIC" sign in the windscreen, and 2 way radio. On 16th September 1970 Wellington City Council agreed to hand over responsibility of traffic enforcement to the Government's Transport Department and their own traffic department from then on was disbanded.
This model is a limited edition release of only 50 and comes mounted in a plastic display case.
Thanks goes to former Wellington City Traffic Department Traffic Officer (the late) Errol Bock for his assistance in producing this model.
NZ residents add GST.
